Devin Lemoine Chosen as one of Baton Rouge’s 2016 Influential Women in Business

This is an excerpt of a post that originally appeared on Greater Baton Rouge Business Report on May 25, 2016.Devin Lemoine’s new office is off Bluebonnet Boulevard, on the other side of the wooded trails of BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp, where bullfrog calls are louder than engine roars. If you visit, make time for the tour because she is tremendously proud of her building and her business, and her enthusiasm is contagious.“I have a business, but now I have a building,” she says. “It’s really exciting, and I love this space and feel really good here.”Lemoine, 52, is the owner and president of Success Labs, a management consulting firm that has been around for nearly three decades. She is also the owner of the building — she paid $390,000 for it in January — and is thrilled with the exposed bricks, large windows, bright offices and modern furniture that fills the space shared by Lemoine and her eight employees.A framed newspaper article with photos of her triplets sits on the floor of her office, ready to be hung. One picture shows the three children sitting in a wagon, dressed in blue and white Our Lady of Mercy school uniforms. Another is of the three taken two years ago, when they graduated from LSU, grinning in their caps and gowns. Lemoine’s children are now 24 years old and work in Baton Rouge, Houston and Nashville. She is proud of them — and herself for raising them as a single parent.“There is nothing scarier than being by yourself with three sick, hungry or tired babies,” she says. “It was emotionally, physically and financially demanding. But I did it, and I feel like I grew a business and the kids congruently.”To read more about Devin’s accomplishments, read the rest of the article at the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.Success Labs is a leadership development and management consulting firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
