Success Labs President Devin Lemoine Receives Baton Rouge 2013 HR Professional of the Year Award
Last month, the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management awarded Success Labs President Devin Lemoine the Baton Rouge 2013 HR Professional of the Year Award. The award, given annually to Baton Rouge human resource professionals, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the HR profession and the local Baton Rouge community.Devin was nominated for the award by Sandy Michelet, senior director of human resources at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. I reached out to Sandy to get a better idea of why she felt Devin was the best person for the award.Here’s what she had to say.
How did you first meet Devin?
I was working at a Sprint PCS Affiliate, and we contracted with her to provide customer service training with us. I liked her instantly because she is so relatable.
Why did you decide to nominate Devin for the Outstanding HR Professional of the Year Award?
Devin is a strong motivator and a positive person. She isn’t in it for Devin; she truly loves the profession. Devin has been a sounding board for HR professionals in Baton Rouge and she willingly shares her experience and expertise. She can always be counted on to speak at events and provide insight, and she doesn’t hoard the information that she knows.
On the application form, you were asked to list the significant contributions Devin has made to the HR community and the overall profession. Can you share some of the contributions you listed?
Devin has been working with large and small businesses and organizations in the Baton Rouge community for years. Her work has included facilitating strategic planning sessions, working with CEOs and senior teams to build succession programs, and coaching executives on their performance and development. The organizations she has worked with include Albemarle, Genesis Energy, CF Industries, DM, Cabot Corporation, General Health System, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, and Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
What can other HR professionals learn from Devin?
